Move Colorado Forward organizes people across the state to support policies that reflect what raising a family actually costs today.

Right now, we are building a statewide effort to address Colorado's child care crisis. Every family in Colorado should be able to find and afford the chidl care they need - so they can work, raise their kids and build a life. Families pay up to $20,000 a year per child. Teachers are underpaid. Child care centers are closing. Our kids, our workforce, and our economy all feel the financial strain.

This isn't just a parent issue. Every Coloradan relies on someone who relies on child care. When child care is not accessible, businesses, public services, and the broader community pay the price. Affordable, high-quality child care keeps  families, workers, and communities across the state moving forward.

A statewide solution must include the following:

• More affordable child care options for all families.

• Living wages for teachers to build and sustain the workforce.

• Stable and predictable funding for providers to plan for the future.

• Local solutions that meet the unique needs of each community.

• Startup funding to help open more child care centers.
